A woman has been captured dragging a dog behind her scooter down a street in heartbreaking footage. The video – believed to have been taken in Birmingham – shows someone shouting at her to stop and telling her she is harming the animal. But the woman appears to continue driving along the road, pulling the animal behind her as she goes. The dog has been seized by police and is in the care of the RSPCA. Has this story affected you? Contact [email protected] The video sparked outrage after it was shared on social media. “You’re hurting the dog,” someone can be heard yelling from behind the camera as the animal crawls along the tarmac. People are shouting that they are worried the dog may die and say the woman is ‘hitting the curb’. The dog has since been identified and rescued by the RSPCA (Birmz Is Grime / SWNS) The woman appears to turn towards the shouting crowd and appears to respond but continues nonetheless. In a tweet posted on the Erdington Policing Constituency account, police said neighborhood officers in Stockland Green were able to locate the dog. An RSPCA spokesman said: “A dog seen in a video posted online has been seized by the police and is now in the care of the RSPCA and being checked by a vet. “Our inquiries are ongoing so we will not be releasing any further information at this time, but we would like to thank West Midlands Police for assisting with this investigation and helping to find the dog so quickly.”
