An eyewitness spotted three bomb disposal units near the Harvey Nichols department store in St Andrew Square. The road has been closed to pedestrians and traffic. Several Lothian bus services have been diverted from the area due to the road closure. Officers blocked off Princes Street in Edinburgh after a suspicious bag was found. Another eyewitness said: “I had just got off at Waverley and was eating a McDonalds when we were told we had to get out. We didn’t get any more information than that, we just had to leave.” A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 5.30pm. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, officers were called to Princes Street, Edinburgh, to a report of a man acting suspiciously. A bag was later found nearby and cordoned off as a precaution. The police are present and called the EMS.” Edinburgh Police cordoned off Princes Street and evacuated Waverley station.
